Pelican and Laurel Pendant

The pelican has long been a symbol of selflessness and charity. In the 13th century, this figure became widely used in Christian art to represent Christ's voluntary sacrifice.

The Laurel wreath has been a symbol of Peace, Triumph and Learning. To be worn by a person of learning.

For members of the SCA (The Society for Creative Anachronism) this pendant combines both images.

This pendant combine both images, and is meant for a special person indeed.

Cast from LEAD FREE Pewter in our shop in Boise, Idaho. It has been hand polished to a warm satin finish. It has red resin in the droplets. It measures 2 3/8 inches x 2 inches and is hung on a 36 inch long 2.5mm black cotton cord.
